When it comes to security, one common term that you are likely to hear is surveillance. For many people the idea of surveillance is that you have cameras on your home or place of work, recording those who come and go and making sure that everyone inside is completely safe.
Surveillance can often be carried out using CCTV, this will be to monitor properties and those who are trying to gain access to them. This CCTV footage may be monitored in the real-time, by a security team member; or, it could be recorded and then stored ready to view should it be required.
Another form of surveillance that can be offered is on a much more personal level. Close surveillance is more targeted to one person or a group of people.
In the most part this type of close surveillance will be used to check on the safety of a person or a group of people. It will follow behind them whilst they are travelling or when they have reached their desired location and check any risks or threats that are likely to cause an impact on them.
Surveillance on a building doesn’t necessarily need to be too covert in its approach. However, on a person or a family, you are going to need to have something that it is a little less obvious and that is going to appear much more subtle.
